Timothy L. Harpster, ARA is President of Consolidated Appraisal Services Company. Timothy L. Harpster holds the Accredited Rural Appraiser (ARA) designation which is awarded to by the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) to those members who have had years of experience, are technically trained, have passed a rigid examination, and subscribe to a high code of ethics. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University.
His appraisal education includes courses and seminars sponsored by ASFMRA, conservation easement appraising, yellow book, and eminent domain appraisal classes from ODOT. He has completed numerous appraisals ranging from simple single family residential properties to complex eminent domain takings, and including various industrial and commercial properties, as well as unimproved farm properties and specialized livestock facilities.

Tara is a Certified General Appraiser
Tara is a native of Putnam County Ohio where she grew up on her family livestock and grain operation. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor of administration degree from Tiffin University. Tara apprenticed under the guidance of Dick Putnam before becoming a Certified General Appraiser licensed in Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. She is a senior appraiser in the American Society of Equine Appraisers, International Society of Livestock Appraisers, and American Society of Farm Equipment Appraisers.
Tara specializes in agricultural properties with extensive experience in equine, swine, dairy, beef, poultry, and grain facilities. Jordan Crum, an appraiser from Hillsboro, joined the Consolidated Appraisal team in 2023 and is apprenticing under the guidance of Tara. Tara resides in Ottawa, Ohio with her husband, Tom, and three daughters.

Jerry Vent is a Certified General Appraiser
Jerry joined Consolidated Appraisal Services Company in May, 2015 and covers the Northwest and North Central counties in Ohio. Jerry combines his appraisal and banking experiences with an accounting background which includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Bowling Green State University and three years of experience in public accounting. He is the youngest of eight children and grew up on a large (for its time) 50 head dairy farm with 400 acres of grain farming.
Growing up, Jerry could be spotted in the hay mound 90% of the time either unloading hay/straw or shooting baskets above the milking parlor. Jerry graduated with honors from Upper Sandusky High School in 1995, Bowling Green State University in 1999, and the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, WI in 2012. Besides appraising; his professional experience includes auditing, credit management, and branch management.
Jerry resides in Upper Sandusky with his better half, Heidi. They have two internationally adopted children from Chelyabinsk, Russia. Grace was born in 2003 and Ashton in 2004. Jerry refers to the international adoption as a utopian experience. In his spare time he enjoys helping on his family’s grain and beef farm, playing and coaching basketball, and watching The Ohio State Buckeyes. Jerry combines his professional and personal experiences to provide a comprehensive approach to the appraisal profession.
